Western Carolina University’s day and evening classes in Cullowhee and at the Biltmore Instructional site will be suspended today, Friday, January 19, 2024, starting at 2:30 pm because of the forecasted hazardous road conditions throughout the remainder of the day and evening.
Please exercise discretion and good judgment in deciding whether to attempt travel during hazardous conditions.
As a reminder, please keep the following in mind:
Online classes are not affected by weather-related changes to the regular class schedule.
University offices will be open on a normal schedule and will be operating under Condition Level 1 - Reduced Operations (University is Open).
All WCU employees should be familiar with the Adverse Weather Policy #41. Commuting faculty and staff should exercise discretion and good judgment in deciding whether to attempt travel during hazardous conditions. Questions about the policy may be directed to the Office of Human Resources at HumanResources@wcu.edu.
